Client context
The Bouygues Energies & Services External Infrastructure Centre in the Loire region is organised across two production unit sites and two equipment depots. In order to best meet the demands of all their worksites, which are deployed simultaneously over a wide geographical area, the Centre must identify the precise distribution and use of each piece of equipment.
By using Omniscient’s solution, the fleet manager wishes to locate his equipment in order to facilitate the allocation of resources between worksites.
In addition, measuring the rate of use of each piece of equipment helps to guide future equipment investments.

The location of the shared equipment fleet is not always straightforward. Unwinders move from site to site, from shift to shift, and are sometimes stored at our remote sites, or shut down for repairs.
In this context, it is difficult to identify our true usage rate.
Through the use of sensors, we are able to control the position of the assets at all times, to optimise their use and change of assignment and to refine the reality of our needs.
